    Information for International Customers

    SHIPPING into Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, and other UK countries is on a "Trial" basis starting in August, 2011.

    All Pricing on our website are stated in US dollars.

    We really don't anticipate any problems providing this often requested service, but if we have too much difficulty or problems we will discontinue this service without notice.

    We have had no problems shipping into Canada and so will continue that service as we have in the past.


    ALL INTERNATIONAL ORDERS are Shipped by the United States Postal Service .

    During the Check out process you can SEE the RATES !

    You can See the Rates on the Billing and Shipping page (this page is the page where you will be entering your Billing Address and Shipping Address information - it is near the top of the page on the right hand side of where you See the Shipping Methods available.

    Your orders will be shipped by the United States POST OFFICE and you have two choices.

    International - PRIORITY MAIL (Estimates only) It should take about 6-10 business days from the date we ship it out for it to arrive to you.

    You may also choose International Express (Estimates only) for additional fees. It should take about 3-5 business days from the date we ship it out for it to arrive to you.

    The reason it says "Estimates" only is because IF we can ship it in an International Flat Rate Box at a reduced rate we will try. BUT often times the weight of the items and the size won't allow us to change prices. But again we try if we can.

    We do have additional fees for International orders because they take us longer to process with the additional paperwork involved.

    Again, even though you may "pay" for Express Service instead of the Regular Priority rates - Customs can still 'hold' back your package as they deem necessary. So please take this into consideration when you place your order and choose your method of shipping.

    DUTIES & TAXES

    You are responsible for paying all Duties and Taxes once your Order/Package arrives in your country.

    We are a legitimate business entity and cannot list your order as a 'gift'. It is "Merchandise" and in some countries you will pay Duty and Taxes on the items you have ordered before they can be released to you for delivery.

    We suggest you check with your local authorities before placing your order to see if such payments will be due.

    If you refuse to pay and your order is returned to us. NO REFUND will be given.

    RESTRICTIONS

    Restrictions sometimes apply.

    ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES - PRODUCTS
    You are responsible to make sure that any electrical item you purchase will work with the Electrical Outlets and Voltages in your country.

    All our products that are electrical use 110 Volt power sources.

    If your country does not - then do not order any electrical products unless you know you can successfully find the proper 'adaptor' to convert and use.

    ESSENTIAL OILS
    There are a few Essential oils that may not be able to be shipped to Australian and New Zealand due to 'flash point' restrictions. If you should order an oil that we don't feel comfortable shipping to you it will not be sent, likewise, you will not be charged for it and (shipping costs may also be adjusted if possible.)

    What products will you NOT ship to Australia, New Zealand,Great Britain and other UK countries?

    Canada does not have these same restrictions as we can ship by 'ground' not air to their location

    So dear Australian, New Zealanders, and British folks, to avoid being disappointed the following essential oils and Synergy blends WILL NOT be shipped to your countries. Sorry but we must follow regulations.

    This is due to the Regulations by the US Postal Service for Flash Points that are unsafe.

    So PLEASE DO NOT ORDER THESE. As they will be removed from your order.

    Please Note the "Phrase" below as it will be near items not able to be shipped to Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, and other UK countries. This will help you know NOT to order these essential oils or blends.

    ** Not able to ship to many countries due to Flash point restrictions **

    We cannot ship any of the above oils in their PURE - UNDILUTED form. IF you want any of the above listed Essential oils or blends - some of them are available in a 5% or 10% dilution.

    If you would like we can blend any of the above in a 10% essential oil blended in Jojoba. We can quote you a price. And if you are interested still, provide you with a Special Order Page for those items. When essential oils are blended in a carrier oil in small percentages their flashpoint is diminshed.

    WHERE DO YOU SHIP TO?
    We will ship orders to any place in the USA, APO, FPO, and any USA territories,Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, and other UK countries.

    We do not ship to any other countries.

    How much is my shipping cost? To help you find your shipping costs: Read this SECTION
    Make Sure you "SEE THE RATES" near the "Choose your Shipping Method" During Checkout.

    Don't forget when you are "Checking the Rates" you will need to Select the Correct Country and enter in your Postal Code (Zip Code space). Do not worry about a "State" as many countries do not have 'states' like the United States does.

    After you "Check the Rates" - Click on "Continue Shopping" to be able to actually "Choose a Shipping Method".
    Shipping rates can change daily as the US Postal Service determines the shipping fees and so you will need to check the rates.
    You have to CHECK THE RATES to get the best pricing on Shipping fees for YOUR needs.

    Can I Add to my Order?

    Recent changes in our Credit Card Merchant account won't allow us to add items to an order you have recently placed. And PayPal absolutely won't allow us to change anything.

    If you have forgotten an item or two, you will need to place another order.

    Please contact us ASAP to let us know that you have placed a second order. We will try to save you some money if we can, but if we are not aware you have two orders we will end up shipping them separately.

    We will try to ship both orders together and discount the shipping cost on the additional order if possible. (PayPal and our Merchant Account will let us lower those prices).

    We do have a minimum processing fee even if orders are shipped together.

    HOW DO I FILL OUT THE BILLING & SHIPPING FORMS?

    Fill out the Billing information - Your Billing Address is your address that your Credit Card, Bank or PayPal has on File for you.

    Your Shipping Address is where you want the package delivered - Usually it is the same as the Billing address. (PS. We do reserve the right to ship to correct Billing Addresses only).

    Double check Your Billing address as it needs to match or your Order may not process.

    Our orders are processed in 'real' time. This means that when you submit your order to us your credit card company/bank sets aside or "authorizes" this amount for us to 'settle' (collect) once we have shipped your package. PayPal does the same thing.

    MAKE SURE YOU SELECT the correct COUNTRY.

    Put the Province or other 'State' in the "other non-US" space.

    You will need to fill in your Telephone Number but realize we will not correspond nor communicate with you by Telephone.

    Due to time zone differences we will only correspond and communicate by E-Mail to you wonderful folks in Australian and New Zealand.

    Why? Well, You are sleeping when we are awake, and we are sleeping or out of the office when you are awake.

    E-mail is much easier and more cost effective for both parties!

    SO Make Sure your E-mail Address is Correct so we can contact you if we need to. AND make sure you check your e-mail often during the next couple days after you place an order with us.

    Can I Delay the shipping of my order?

    We will not hold or delay processing or shipping of your order as your Credit Card or PayPal account has already been 'authorized' for the amount of your order. And we have to process and ship your order promptly (typically within 3-4 business days).

    If you need it shipped later - place your order later.

    Please don't ask for delayed processing or shipment.

    HOW SOON DO YOU PROCESS MY ORDER?
    We process orders in the sequence they are received. The approximate time of shipping is determined by the day of the week and the volume of orders we have received when you placed your order.

    Why do we hold orders sometimes for 24 hours before processing?
    **Currently we are Shipping out all orders ASAP - PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT!!
    If an Order is returned to us because you gave us a wrong address -
    we WILL CHARGE ADDITIONAL FEES to RESHIP .

    WHEN DO YOU SHIP?
    We know you are all anxious to get your orders, we will try to ship out all orders
    usually within 24-72 hours (business hours that is!)

    We Ship Monday through Fridays.

    Typical Shipping scenarios are as follows :
    Orders Received on:
    Mondays orders are usually shipped on Tuesdays or Wednesdays
    Tuesdays orders are shipped on Wednesdays or Thursdays
    Wednesdays orders are shipped on Wednesday or Thursdays
    Thursdays & Fridays orders are shipped on Thursays & Fridays or Mondays
    Saturdays & Sundays orders are shipped on Tuesdays.

    Please know that this is just a rough idea when your order may be shipped. We always try to ship them out as quickly as we possibly can, and on slow days your order may be received by us, processed and shipped right away!! (Within minutes!)

    The actual day we process and ship your order is dependent on the volume of orders we receive each day. Remember it's just Penny & Al that do the processing etc for your order.

    You will know that your order has been shipped once you get an e-mail from us AND from the US Postal Service with your delivery confirmation and tracking information.

    WHEN SHOULD MY ORDER ARRIVE?

    We will send you an e-mail once your order has been shipped.
    (We don't ship on Saturdays or Sundays or Holidays as USPS is closed.)
    Once we send you the e-mail notice, your package should arrive in about anywhere from 3-10 days
    depending on which shipping method you choose.

    Remember too that Customs may hold your order for up to 30 days, so don't get upset if it hasn't arrived within the 10 days. It should be there shortly.)

    Do I have to sign or be home for my order?
    Your order may require a signature.
    Someone at your residence may need to sign for it but usually signatures are only required for extremely large orders.
    Orders that ABSOLUTELY require Signatures are Express-type orders.

    You are ultimately responsible for reviewing your order. Before submitting your order, Review the items in your cart to assure yourself that you are ordering the correct items and quantities.

    Remember - Al and Penny are the only employees!
    That's right, it's only the two of us that run Birch Hill Happenings. 
    We don't have any other workers in our shipping department - just Penny and Al.
    Al assembles the orders, Penny double checks and packs them and does the final checks to make sure everything you ordered is in place.

    Can you Ship my order Overnight?
    Please Plan ahead. As Overnight Shipping is not available to International customers. You might be able to speed up the arrival by choosing International Express.

    Remember at Birch Hill Happenings we have no Minimum orders
