Do It Yourself Bath Salt Blend Kit
Unscented Kit
This Easy to Make, with full instruction kit will make your next bath or fun to give gift very affordable.
This kit is Sold by Weight. And makes over 3 lbs of Blended Bath Salts. Included is a small amount of dendritic salt (used for adding essential oils) should you decide to scent your 'batch'. If you don't use it for scenting you can keep it for later or just it add it to your bath salt blend.
OPTIONAL SCENTING Information: If you wish to scent this 'batch' of Bath Salt you will need the following items as they are not included in this kit -
Once Scented the bath salt should be stored in PET Plastic Decorative Jars or if you don't have time to pack in smaller containers store the full bulk batch in a glass container. (I use what they call a 'Cracker Jar'. Works great! )

SPECIAL NOTE about Packaging: You can store UNSCENTED Bath Salt in any Zip lock or plastic bag.
IF YOU SCENT IT you cannot store in a plastic baggy as the essential oils will distort and possibly destroy your plastic bag.
To help you figure out how many Decorative Jars you will need for the a 48oz by weight bath salts:
• 4 oz Jars hold about 4 1/2-5 oz by weight
• 8 oz jars hold about 8 1/2-9 oz by weight
• 16 oz jars hold about 17-18 oz by weight.
So if you were to use all the same size jars for the 3 lbs of Bath Salt you would need •4 oz jars you would need 9-10 = about 45 oz if each is filled with about 5 oz weight of bath salt
•8 oz jars you would need 5-6 = about 45 oz if each is filled with 9 oz weight of bath salt
•16 oz jar you would need 2-3 = about 48 oz if each is filled with 16 oz weight of bath salt
BASIC BATH SALTS
Pictured above are the 4 oz packets, larger sizes are sold in bulk zip lock bags.
Basic Bath Salts
A special blend Epsom Salt (Magnesium sulfate), Sodium bicarbonate and Sea Salts.
Fill the tub with water, add the packet of bath salt, swirl to dissolve the salt.
Add any essential oil - 5-8 drops of your favorite blend!
Then sit back and enjoy.
To make a simple gift, purchase Basic Bath Salt.
Then in a glass mixing bowl
add a few drops of essential oils, stir until blended very well.
Package in a pretty little Jar or bag.
Don't forget to add your own instructions.
Unscented Bath Salts are conveniently packaged in Zip Lock Bag for ease of
use.
Bulk packages in larger sizes are great for making your own
scented bath salt creations!
Depending on how much you add to the tub the following guidelines will help.
4 oz is for One bath in a small tub
8 oz is enough for 1-3 baths
1 lb is enough for 3-6 baths
2 lb is enough for 6-12 baths
These are fine white crystals with multiple surfaces.
Sold by Weight.
This is a very fine grain salt that has been crystallized to provide more surface area per grain.
Dendritic salt is ideal for use when making bath salts as the increased surface area helps retain the 'true' scenting of the essential oils used.
If you should use coloring it will also be able to be reduced.
Dendritic salt will absorb essential oils twice as well as other salts when used in bath salt mixes.
It's special formulation helps to prevent caking.
It is suggested to use about 1 Tablespoon of Dendritic salt per 1 1/2 cups of Basic Bath Salt mix.

Simple add to the bath once you have the tub filling.
Swish the water around and the scent will fill the room!

How much should you add to the tub? Here are some helpful guidelines:
One - 4 oz bag is for One Average Size Bath Tub
Use Two - 4 oz bags if you have a larger than normal tub
Use Three - 4 oz bags for a Large Soaking type tub.
BATH SALTS are for adults and are not intended for use by Children.
Should irritation occur, discontinue use, wash & rinse off well with plain soap and water.
Do not use Bath Salts scented with essential oils in a Whirlpool tub as the essential oils
may damage the working parts (motor) of your whirlpool and void your warranty.
Polysorbate 20 is derived from the compounding of Oleic Acid
(derived from Olive Oil) and Sorbital (from fruits and berries).
It is an non-ionic surfactant and emulsifier often used in Natural based products
as it is considered very safe.
Vegetable Glycerin is a natural based emollient which is also used in the food industry as it
has a natural sweet taste. Glycerin is a humctant and draws moisture from the air and helps to keep the skin
hydrated from the outside. It is used in both the cosmetic and food industry. It is a vegetable based and Kosher.
